Fashion, like any other art form is a form of expression. That’s why I love it so much. You can wear something to represent how you feel or dress to try and feel a certain way. For this outfit I was feeling a bit playful and attempted to visualize that by making a dress casual. I have more dresses in my closet than anything and I’ve found I can wear them for many different occasions if I pair them with the right shoes. I think my Airwalk sneakers helped me accomplish my playful feeling for this feature! Thanks Airwalk!

My favorite color combination has always been and will forever be black, white, and red. Even though that’s my favorite combo, any pop of color with black and white is always a good idea! I think that whatever you do.. match your shoes. With this outfit, I chose to wear my red sneakers and I like to make sure to pull my pop of color at least in one more place. I usually do it with some lipstick, but this time, I decided to add a hairbow that way the red is balanced within the outfit! :)

Sometimes it’s fun to make a statement with just your shoes. These patterned lip sneaks are the perfect pair to do just that. The key to making an outfit with patterned shoes is to keep the rest of the outfit very simple. If the pattern has a lot of colors, choose one of the colors and pair it with a neutral. I chose to pull the pink out and pair it with white shorts. By doing this, the main focus will be your shoes, and you won’t overwhelm anyone with a ton a color.

This outfit is my proof to you of two things:

1. Dressing up doesn’t have to mean being uncomfortable. I wanted to dress nice but remain comfortable this day because I was doing a lot of walking and meeting people. So I put on red lipstick, a formal looking top and sealed the comfort deal by paring it all with my favorite sandals. The look of these sandals is simple enough that they offer ultimate flexibility. WHICH I LOVE because a simple item opens up loads of outfit potential. With permitting weather you can wear these babies for practically any occasion and feel great doing it.

2. You don’t need an excessive amount of clothing to have a lot of good outfits. It’s all about knowing how to work with what you have. For example, you see the top I’m wearing here? Well buckle up folks because believe it or not, it is actually a dress I simply folded up. BAM, just by folding all of your tight dresses you expand your top collection without dropping a dollar. I frequently put skirts on over dresses to create the same effect.

Thanks for reading my tips and tricks loves. I hope you all give them a go and have a fantastic day!

Everytime I go to the beach, I usually end up getting sand all up and in my boots because I’ve never really been into flip flops. But, these clogs have become my go-to beach shoes recently. They are so easy to slip right on and off so I don’t have to worry about getting sand in my shoes, and they are also a little bit more fashionable if you ask me. ;) You can go straight from the beach to lunch to shopping to out with friends, and you don’t have to change your shoes! That sounds like a win to me!!
